Drawing & Map Scanning
If you have architectural, engineering or electronic drawings and schematics, maps or plans, Rapter can provide the services you require to reproduce the information in a digital form.
We can scan from a physical master upto a maximum width of 914mm (36") by any realistic length and upto 6.35mm (1/4") thick in black & white, greyscale or colour from paper, trace or film based masters.
Masters are captured at 100% of their original scale, so the image produced is exactly the same physical size of the original master. A range of resolutions (DPI) are available and the images can be output to any of the industry standard file formats e.g. TIFF, CALS, PDF, or JPEG. We can fine tune the image accurately to original scale or to a different scale if necessary, providing a viable datum point exists.
All scanned drawings are processed with crop, straighten and image cleanup and enhancement as part of the course so you can be sure that all final images are of the highest calibre and have maximum readibility.
We also offer a drawing vectorisation service where we can convert the scanned image into an *CAD servicable file format e.g. DXF, this enables users to import the drawing data into a *CAD package where it can be manipulated as if it were created in the *CAD package itself.
We offer a range of data delivery options which include the Web, CD, DVD, Blu-Ray, USB External Devices & Tape. A worldwide courier service is also available.
